St Andrew’s Church is the Parish Church of Tangmere. We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Chichester, West Sussex. Our existing church building has stood in Tangmere for over 800 years, although the first church on the site dated from 680 AD. The 11th Century church, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, consisted of the present nave and chancel. Most of the people who come to St Andrew’s are from Tangmere although quite a few come from the surrounding areas because they feel at home with the worship.
